Entrepreneur Membership Program FAQs.

This is for those who have contacted us with questions about our program and how it works. These are the most frequently asked questions as well as answers:

Q:        How is a membership program different from the normal way of engaging lawyers?

A:        HLG’s membership program is designed with the client in mind. This means no more billable hours! Everything will always be a flat fee agreed to in advance. Also, our goal is to assist you in reaching your revenue goals. At other firms, their goal is simply to provide you with deliverables (i.e. contracts, trademark applications, cease & desist letters, etc.). At HLG, we recognize the importance of such deliverables, but we believe in an ever-changing global economy, this simply is not providing the client with enough value to justify the thousands of dollars spent each year in legal fees-especially when lawyers are savvy enough to provide you with more value, but decide against it because it requires more work. What sets us apart is our ability to work as a part of your existing team to help you grow within a period of 12-18 months from the day you start working with us, AND you still get your deliverables during that time.

 

Q:        What if I already have a lawyer or a few different lawyers that I already use for my businesses?

A:        Great! The wonderful thing about this program is that it is not here to replace anyone on your existing team. It is all about giving you “more bang for your buck”. Sure, we can handle some of your deliverables as well such as contracts, intellectual property filings, and cease & desist letters, but that only touches the surface of what we offer. Therefore, if you have other lawyers that do a lot of your legal work, and you are satisfied with their services- keep them. We happen to operate as a law firm, but we provide more than just legal services.

 

Q:        What are Rainmaking Services?

A:        Rainmaking Services consists of 3 key activities to deal making: (1) researching the target, (2) engaging the target to “humanize” the sales process, and (3) following up consistently with the target with a desired next step in mind that is communicated to the target and his/her constituents. Often times entrepreneurs are so busy that they simply do not have the time to dedicate themselves to doing all 3 activities consistently. Sometimes entrepreneurs simply aren’t interested in conducting research because it can be very tedious in that you don’t always know what you’re looking for, but you’ll know it when you read it or see it! Then, there are some entrepreneurs that simply want to do business with certain targets, but have no inside connections and do not know how to go about gaining that access. Regardless of your reason for being interested in this service, we have a proprietary system in place for getting the job done. We search for information about the individuals or companies you seek to do business with. We use this information to assess their needs. Once we know what their needs are, we know how to engage. Once we know how to engage, we’re that much closer to either making a deal happen or at least placing our client on the target’s radar for future deals or opportunities.

 

Q:        What happens in the Business Development Strategy Session?

A:        We come up with a 6 month or 12 month plan for developing new business. Since we are aware that you may already have marketing professionals or other business development experts on your team, we will not replace them, but rather work with them to accomplish your revenue goals for the next 12-18 months. We are aware that we are a law firm, and that this service is outside of the scope of what one would expect to receive. This is our way of providing additional value to our clients beyond the deliverables such as contracts and letters.

 

Q:        Why should I trust a law firm with helping me with my revenue goals and bringing in new business?

A:        Because a law firm is a business, and this law firm was founded by an entrepreneur who through trial and error figured out what works and what does not. She implemented a new revenue model in her own business that increased monthly revenues by 575% within a 7 month period.

 

Q:        How much does the membership program cost?

A:        It depends on your membership level, but it ranges from a $500 per month investment up to a $3,000 per month investment. We offer a generous discount for new members paying upfront for the entire year.

 

Q:        If I own more than one business, am I charged multiple membership fees?

A:        No. Hawkes Law Group is happy to help you grow your brand, which means we will help you with as many businesses as you like. It will all go under one membership, and thus you will only be billed for one membership fee.

 

Q:        What if I do not need some of the services offered in your membership packages? Can I switch them out for other services?

A:        Unfortunately, we currently do not have the capacity to customize every member’s program, but stay tuned. We plan to offer a customization package in the future.

 

Q:        What if I need a service that is outside the scope of my membership package?

A:        Fortunately, as a member you have access to all of the firm’s services even if it is not included in your package. We would simply bill you for the additional service, and since you are a member, you are entitled to a discount on all add-on services. Your exact discount amount will depend on your membership package.
